The way I like to think about it is this: basically, getting a coach means choosing a thinking partner. What it is NOT is someone who gives you advice.
Coaching, as defined by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), means "partnering with a client in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximise their personal and professional potential."
Think of it as engaging someone who will:
- Hold you accountable
- Provide a fresh perspective
- Help you get to where you want to be
As a certified coach, my role is to listen deeply, ask powerful questions, offer tools whenever appropriate and create a space for authentic exploration.

Let me add this. In my mind, coaching is particularly geared toward managing the one thing in life we will all experience: change.

My clients come to me because they've had enough of the status quo. They're ready for change. Now. I should know. I have been in the hands of extraordinary coaches since 2016. It didn't even dawn on me I could become a coach myself. But life is funny that way, and here we are!
What coaching entails
Some say coaching is to therapy what personal training is to visiting your doctor. I love this metaphor — it feels so right. You don't go to your GP to get sculpted abs; you find a personal trainer. Similarly, while a coach doesn't replace a therapist, we can help you achieve profound transformation within a structured timeframe.
The coaching process typically follows these phases:
Clarifying objectives: Our starting point is to frame the topic of the session
Inner inquiry: Exploring your current reality, values, and aspirations
Visioning: Dreaming and designing your ideal scenario
Planning: Creating concrete next steps and accountability structures
Action & iteration: Taking steps forward, acknowledging obstacles, and adjusting as needed
Even the smallest steps forward build momentum. When we start to take action, we often face obstacles and resistance. The point isn't to give up but to pivot—even if it's by just one degree.
My unique approach integrates:
- Evidence-based coaching methodologies from Martha Beck's Wayfinder Life Coach Training and Tara Mohr's Playing Big framework
- Mindfulness and communication practices drawing from my certification as a Mindfulness Meditation Teacher and Mindfulness Mentor
- Authentic leadership insights from my many years of experience in communications, retail and management, including my time as SVP of Global Communications for Christian Louboutin
- Communication expertise developed through extensive study of Nonviolent Communication, Wise Speech with the Barre Centre for Buddhist Studies, and Mindful Communication with Oren Jay Sofer
- Storytelling mastery honed through training with Robert McKee (often called "the Father of Story") and many other narrative experts
This blend allows me to work at the intersection of leadership, authentic communication, and mindful presence, helping you develop the clarity, confidence, and compassion needed to navigate today's complex world.
