The strange business model that makes perfect sense
- Jan 10, 2026

Some of my friends have found my business model a little strange. Podcasting at the heart of it? Really?

But for me, it makes perfect sense

Some of my friends have found my business model a little strange. Podcasting at the heart of it? Really?

But for me, it makes perfect sense.

Out of the Clouds my long-form interview podcast, started in 2020. Not a pandemic baby exactly, but a project I'd always meant to begin that year. I was so excited at the purchase of my podcasting mic that I took it on holidays with me to Thailand in December 2019. True story.

It’s thanks to a handful of generous podcasters (Tim Ferriss, Debbie Millman, James Altucher) that I first dove into deep conversations that opened new doors and perspectives, at a time when I desperately needed something new.

When I started my own, I knew I wanted to go long-form and I knew I wanted deep conversations. What I did not expect was that each episode would feel like I'd taken a masterclass with my guests. As a result, I was changed by every single one of them.

A couple of years in, I noticed something was missing. After these transformative conversations, I wanted to talk about them with other people. But while I had listeners, they weren't sitting next to me. I was missing real live people to chat to about these new perspectives and all my a-ha moments.

That's how the salons started. I often describe the salon as an in-person podcast experience, just with nice people and (great) food (cooked by my fair hands). And from the salons, Le Trente was born.

Le Trente is what I call a social learning studio. Part social club, but with learning at its heart. And story is how we learn without explanation.

That's why podcasting remains central - not just to the marketing of Le Trente, but to the whole philosophy.

Sooo, here's what's on offer, audio-wise:

Out of the Clouds - long-form interviews at the crossroads between business and mindfulness, exploring the stories that shape how we live and work. Five years of conversations with remarkable humans. DISCOVER HERE

Listen to our latest episode with The Fertility Class co-founder Zsofia Jamieson on becoming your own health advocate, building a beautiful venture from the inside out, and building The Fertility Class.

The Metta Interview - generous conversations with brilliant friends. Each episode gathers around a question that feels alive for my guest. Less about showcasing expertise, more about meeting in genuine curiosity. LISTEN HERE

Waking Heart - guided meditations from Out of the Clouds, gathered in one place. Listen on Apple Podcasts and Spotify

The Metta View Essays (not all but many of them) also exist as audio at TheMettaView.com - for those who prefer to listen.

I know we're all busy. And I know that some podcasts have changed my life, just as meditation has.

So while I believe live is juicy - and I love to gather people in real time - audio is another way in. Listen while you walk, while you cook, while you commute. Let these conversations find you where you are.

And if any of what you hear sparks something, consider it an invitation to go deeper. Join a live session, come to a salon, explore a masterclass. The conversations don't have to end when the episode does.
